Hello! I’m Levi Otts, the owner of Hickory Hill Dirtworks, LLC.

I graduated with a degree in Mechanical Engineering in 2018, and have always had a passion for all things outdoors. These two pursuits have led me to combine my interests into a dirtwork business.

In 2023, after restoring a 1973 John Deere 450B crawler loader, I decided to start putting it to work. I established the name Hickory Hill Dirtworks, and a few gracious customers gave me the chance to get my feet wet in the dirtwork business. I built a shop pad, cut in two driveways, cleared approximately 15 acres, and reworked a property’s water management. Later that year, I added a semi-truck and heavy trailer to the fleet.

In early 2024, I established an LLC. That summer proved to be a busy one! More land was cleared, more driveways were cut, more house and shop pads were built, and more fields were reworked for water management.

Since then, a full size excavator - Case 880D - and a 6 way blade bulldozer - Case 850B - have been added to the fleet. Resultingly, HHD has a greater capability to improve your land. The excavator does an excellent job at pond work and land clearing, while the bulldozer is extremely helpful for building pads and driveways. The John Deere 450B crawler loader is still used quite often as well.

The growth of business has been exciting to say the least. This hasn’t happened without the opportunities presented by the good people I’ve worked with, so a huge thank you to all of those who I’ve been fortunate enough to help.
